About the Role


We're seeking an experienced and highly skilled Master Scheduler to join our team. As a Master Scheduler, you'll be responsible for preparing production schedules for manufacturing and assembly of part components or displays/merchandising units. This is a career-building opportunity for someone with expertise in Production Planning in a Manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Analysis: You'll examine production specifications and departmental capacity data, perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, machines, and capacity resource requirements.
  • Leading: You'll conduct daily/weekly production and review meetings with the production and material planning team to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Creating the master production schedule: You'll develop the master production schedule in weekly increments, establishing the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to seasonal sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Accuracy: You'll enter the calculated time for each operation, collaborate with PM, Manufacturing Engineer, and PPC to ensure BOMs are updated with new content sheet information from clients, maintain and provide accurate information for department KPIs, and track schedule attainment.
  • Continuous improvement: You'll work with production, project management, warehouse, internal suppliers, and shipping to help expedite rush orders and ensure products ship on time.

Requirements



  • Education and experience: You have a diploma or degree in a related field, experience working in a Lean, fast-paced manufacturing environment, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, databases, and MS Office applications.
  • Solution-oriented approach: You have strong analytical skills and the ability to work with statistics to conduct root cause analysis to assess short-term and long-term impacts on capacity planning.
  • Interpersonal skills: You have flexible and effective communication skills, can build internal and client relationships, and are comfortable facilitating meetings, proposing ideas, and presenting to senior managers.
