The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and motivate a team of maintenance staff to achieve world-class results
  • Supervise repairs and maintenance activities to ensure quality and safety standards are met
  • Evaluate and prioritize work orders to optimize maintenance schedules
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure equipment availability and reliability
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures and downtime
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Provide guidance and training to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and reduce costs
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of leading maintenance teams to achieve world-class results
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, including Six Sigma and RCM
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and overtime as required
