The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and quality.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in other challenging environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
