About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer (Civil) to join our team at Contact Energy, working on the construction phase of our Glenbrook BESS Project. As a key member of our Construction team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the construction of site works, from earthworks, trenching, civil, foundation works through to buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the construction of site works for the BESS project, ensuring industry-best safety and quality outcomes.
  • Manage project risks and support mitigation efforts, coordinating with contractors and ensuring smooth on-site operations.
  • Provide regular updates on key milestones, costs, and risk issues to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders within Contact to ensure the project is running smoothly and milestones are met.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
  • 5+ years of experience on large complex civil and electrical projects, preferably in the Power/Renewable sector.
  • Experience in EPC and Design Build contracting frameworks as a Client-Side Project Engineer.
  • A team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
