As a key member of the University of Lethbridge's leadership team, the Executive Director, Risk and Safety Services plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors. This position oversees the Risk Management, Security Services, and Safety & Research Compliance Services departments, with a focus on occupational and environmental health and safety, emergency management, enterprise risk management, and business continuity.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in campus safety, security, risk management, or a related field. They will also possess a proven track record of managing large teams and complex projects, as well as experience in a higher education environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
The Executive Director, Risk and Safety Services will be responsible for providing visionary leadership to Risk & Safety Services and its constituent teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment within the department and in service to the University community. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, and for developing and implementing comprehensive risk and safety mitigation services and strategies across the institution.
The University of Lethbridge offers a competitive salary range of $130,099 - $196,548 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
