We are seeking an experienced and accomplished leader to join our Stonewood Group Inc. team as the Head of Finance for our Life and Health business unit.

This is a critical leadership position that will play a key role in shaping the future of our organization and driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability
  • Leading a mid-size finance team providing support to the life and health insurance business
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership and department heads
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate financial records

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A qualified Life Actuary (FSA and/or FCIA) designation
  • 10-15 years of relevant Life Insurance industry experience
  • Proven financial analytical and modeling abilities
  • CANadian Corporate Actuarial/valuation experience is an asset
  • Knowledgeable of OSFI's MCCSR capital rules
