**Job Summary:**

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team. This permanent full-time position will work with children and adolescents up to the 19th birthday, providing assessment and treatment for mental health or concurrent disorders.

About the Opportunity:

  • This role will be responsible for assessing and treating clients in individual, family-based, or group therapy settings.
  • The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other disciplines, including psychology, social work, psychiatry, addiction clinical therapists, and behavioral interventionists.
  • Prior experience in an inpatient/outpatient mental health setting is required, as well as competence in assessment, intervention, and research.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters of Social Work with a specialization in a clinical or mental health stream.
  • Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Work.
  • Two years' of clinical experience in an inpatient/outpatient mental health setting.
