Job Description

At METRO TRANSPORT, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing policies, supervising staff, and administering programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop policies and procedures to support business growth and development.
  • Supervise professional and support staff to ensure effective delivery of programs and services.
  • Administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment, including conducting surveys and analyzing data.
  • Provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval of development proposals.
  • Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products.
  • Prepare reports, research papers, and educational texts on business development and marketing strategies.
  • Provide consulting services to government and other organizations on business development and marketing strategies.
  • Conduct analytical marketing studies and develop social and economic profiles of areas to encourage industrial and commercial investment.
  • Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals.
  • Design market research questionnaires and develop portfolios of marketing materials.
  • Develop feasibility studies and maintain databases of potential franchisees, real estate locations, and online buy/sell Internet sites.
  • Prepare funding applications and provide consultation on planning and starting new businesses.
  • Develop and implement business plans and ensure appropriate business/commercial licenses are in place.
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia on business development and marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in business development or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software.

Working Conditions

  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language.
