Parts and Components Validation Mechanical Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Parts and Components Validation Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, verifying, and validating electrical and electronic parts for our rail industry products.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply your knowledge of rail industry standards and design to develop electrical and electronic parts solutions.
- Work on multiple contracts, following the validation process to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Ensure all parts proposals meet customer specifications in form, fit, and function, railway safety, reliability, industrial norms, and standards.
- Prepare electrical and interface schematics, drawings, and documentation of assigned systems and meet deliverable schedules.
- Coordinate and lead efforts with vendors to confirm compliance with customer requirements.
- Maintain your knowledge of rail and electrical-electronic norms and standards such as FRA, AAR, IEEE, ANSI, etc.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in rail industry standards and design or similar industry products.
- More than 5 years of experience in invalidation process and different contracts.
- Leader with hands-on experience, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in unclear and ill-defined environments, and resourceful in finding information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of rolling stock systems and components.
- Knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment.
- Proficient in the use of electrical/electronics design tools, MS Office, SAP, GSI, and Maximo (other ERP tools).
