Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to design and implement advanced cloud computing solutions for the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces. As a key member of our team, you will bring the latest cloud computing technologies to solve complex challenges and drive business growth.

As a trusted advisor, you will partner with customers, sales, and other AWS teams to craft highly secure and resilient architectures that meet customer needs. You will help customers adopt best practices for cloud solutions and seek out opportunities to broaden the use of AWS across National Security and Defence.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer-facing skills, presenting cloud computing concepts and architectures to diverse audiences. They should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about National Security and Defence, complex architectures, and technical challenges from a customer perspective.

About the Role

Solutions Architects at AWS are technical thought leaders who evangelize emerging technologies. Our team has played a critical role in the adoption and advancement of cloud computing capabilities within National Security and Defence. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will solve problems at both the mission and technical levels, working backwards from customer requirements.

What We're Looking For
  1. 5+ years of technology/software sales experience
  2. 10+ years of professional or military experience
  3. 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  4. Experience in the National Security, Defence, or Public Safety industries
  5. Experience architecting solutions that require high levels of security and compliance
  6. Government of Canada Secret Level II clearance or ability to obtain
Education and Certifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
  2. AWS Cloud Professional level certifications
  3. Experience with hyperscale cloud providers
