Senior Application Architect Job Description

S.i. Systèmes is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Architect to support the road mapping and rollout of a cloud solution for a federal government project.

Background

Our valued Public Sector client is responsible for supporting the key development for all enterprise rollouts across the organization. A key focus for our clients is going to be their move to cloud and in order to support this they would like to bring on a Senior Application Architect to support the road mapping the overall road mapping and roll-out.

Responsibilities
  • Develop technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies to meet business and application requirements.
  • Identify policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution.
  • Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems.
  • Ensure the integration of all aspects of technology solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology.
  • Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document database content, structure, and application sub-systems.
  • Develop data dictionary and define interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems.
  • Define input/output sources and obtain approval of the system proposal.
  • Identify and document system-specific standards relating to programming, documentation, and testing.
  • Lead and participate in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with various stakeholders.
