Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our data analytics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leveraging advanced data science, analytics, and computer vision techniques to drive business growth and improve product development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead data projects and inspire the adoption of advanced data science and analytics across the team and projects.
  2. Develop and implement statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI tools to improve product development, manufacturing, predictive maintenance, and business processes.
  3. Support the deployment and adoption of ML and AI initiatives, proof-of-concepts, and small-scale implementations.
  4. Conceptualize machine learning problems, apply appropriate theory, explore approaches, execute simulations, and implement with minimal supervision.
  5. Leverage internal and external expertise as required.
  6. Regularly interface with senior management to provide project updates.
  7. Occasionally responsible for hiring, leading, supervising, and evaluating indirect hires, such as summer students.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate with a Master's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with 7+ years of experience in industry with a focus on data analytics and/or computer vision.

Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field with 10+ years of experience in industry with a focus on data analytics and/or computer vision may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with a wide variety of ML and AI techniques and algorithms.
  2. Experience with computer vision, structured light-based 3D reconstruction of point cloud or mesh, feature estimation.
  3. Experience with optimization algorithms for processing time and memory, parallel processing, and implementation/Cuda.
  4. Knowledge of C++.
  5. Experience with agile project management and related tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
  6. Experience with cloud-based tools by Microsoft, AWS, Databricks.
  7. Analytic tools and languages for statistical and machine learning models, especially Python.
  8. Deep learning frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow.
  9. Data management using PySpark and SQL.
