Job Summary

The Senior Architectural Technologist will play a key role in supporting senior staff by taking on substantial project responsibilities. This includes managing projects independently and effectively meeting deadlines while working within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and designers to develop detailed architectural drawings and plans.
  • Aid in the preparation of construction documents and provide quality control oversight.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Coordinate with engineers and contractors to verify design compliance.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from clients and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Lead technical coordination efforts and conduct peer reviews of drawing packages.
  • Manage contract administration tasks during construction phases.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology from a reputable institution.
  • 10+ years of experience in a technologist or technician role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with coworkers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
