Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Horizon North Logistics Inc. as a Commercial Refrigeration Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing air quality systems, as well as a strong understanding of electrical techniques and methods. Our team works on a range of projects, from commercial buildings to industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Install, maintain, and repair air quality systems, including removing and replacing components as needed.
  2. Test for leaks using various testing tools and maintain electrical components of HVAC equipment.
  3. Review historical repair records to create an effective inspection schedule and communicate with clients.
  4. Inspect plumbing systems to ensure efficient operation while adhering to environmentally friendly guidelines.
  5. Analyze systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
  6. Collaborate with the Area Superintendent and Maintenance Planner to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
  7. Ensure all site equipment is in good repair and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic certification.
  • 5 years of experience with electrical techniques and methods, and knowledge of applicable industry and company codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade, and demonstrate organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to health and safety of self and co-workers.
