About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Sipkens Nurseries as a Greenhouse Worker. As a key member of our floriculture production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and quality of our plants, ensuring timely harvests, and contributing to the overall success of our nursery operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in greenhouse cleaning and maintenance to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist in the harvesting of seedlings and other plants, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Perform weeding and other tasks to maintain plant health and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Help with potting and repotting plants, as well as transplanting seedlings or rooted cuttings.
Work Environment

As a Greenhouse Worker, you will be working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a focus on attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and work in a hot environment.

Requirements
  • Availability to start immediately.
  • Legal ability to work in Canada.
  • Residency in proximity to the advertised location.
  • Ability to work 40-42 hours per week.
