Risk Management Specialist

About the Role
Aon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Broker to join our team. As an Insurance Broker, you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate the complex world of risk management and insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop coverage strategies and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business;
- Process, and/or issue where applicable, new policies and policy renewals, changes, additions, deletions, and cancellations;
- Prepare new business and renewal information and keep them up to date;
- Analyze client-specific risk exposure and detail coverage requirements; prepare and present marketing proposals for renewals and new business;
- Negotiate, establish, and maintain strong relationships with the underwriting community for the ultimate benefit of the client;
- Follow up with insurers to confirm terms of negotiated contracts are met;
- Communicate directly with underwriters to follow up or obtain additional information;
- Review and proofread all assignments, obtain proper signatures, and dispense as appropriate;
- Calculate adjustments and premiums on policies and other insurance documents;
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to the Associate Broker and Broking Coordinator;
- Lead by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practice;
- Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience and knowledge in insurance, an asset;
- Level One & Two insurance license preferred, or intention to obtain within a period of 6 months;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
