About the Role:
The UME Curriculum Lead, Health Sciences plays a vital role in shaping the Health Sciences curriculum at Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM). As a key stakeholder, this individual will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the Health Sciences curriculum across the four years of the MD program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the Health Sciences curriculum. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with Chairs of Introduction to Clinical Medicine, Clinical Medicine and Therapeutics I and II to develop and implement the Health Sciences curriculum.
- Work with the Health Sciences Section Chair to identify and address gaps in the Health Sciences continuum of medical education.
- Represent NOSM U Health Sciences at local and national undergraduate education tables to promote best practices in medical education.
- Contribute to the development of Health Sciences clerkship objectives, academic sessions, RCLEs, and associated assessments.
- Participate in the UME Program Curriculum Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Process to ensure ongoing improvement of the Health Sciences curriculum.
