Interior Health Authority is seeking a permanent full-time Lead, Cancer Care Network to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in healthcare and contribute to the development and implementation of Cancer Care mandates and strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support and oversight for the development and implementation of Cancer Care mandates and strategies led by the Cancer Care Network.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of various region-wide projects and initiatives throughout Interior Health.
- Work closely with leaders from across the Health Authority and key internal and external partners to facilitate ongoing collaboration and effective implementation and evaluation of initiatives and activities related to continuous quality improvement for Cancer Care across the care continuum.
- Utilize communication, facilitation, conflict management, and interpersonal skills to carry out duties and responsibilities.
- Provide leadership to the IH Cancer Care Network in the planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive Project Management Plan for Cancer Care Network driven projects and initiatives.
- Lead projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes within the IH Cancer Care Network portfolio.
- Serve as the central contact/resource person related to Cancer Care Network projects and initiatives and resolve arising issues through negotiation and conflict resolution with interested parties.
- Provide research support for best practice and change management initiatives to support improvements.
- Facilitate change by collaborating with the clinical operations team in the development of implementation plans, data/info requirements, performance evaluation measures, quality improvement methodology and communication and engagement strategies.
- Develop and coordinate a process for managing the preparation and maintenance of all status reports, design of reporting templates, compilation and analysis of data and information.
- Monitor project and/or system change progress and support the composition of decision briefs and reports at the site, local health area, and Health Authority levels.
- Plan for patient engagement strategies to ensure patient views are considered in service planning.
- Expertise in project management, quality improvement, and healthcare operations.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders across the Health Authority and external partners.
- Experience in leading projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
- Knowledge of best practices and change management principles.
- Ability to analyze data and information to inform decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
