Academic Medical Dermatologist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dermatologist to join our medical team at Platinum Laser. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating various skin conditions, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the overall health and well-being of our patients.

This role requires a compassionate approach to patient interactions, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare setting. As a Medical Dermatologist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough examinations of patients' skin, hair, and nails to diagnose conditions.

The successful candidate will develop and implement effective treatment plans for various dermatological issues, perform procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and laser treatments as necessary, and provide education to patients regarding skin care, preventive measures, and treatment options.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations of patients' skin, hair, and nails to diagnose conditions.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for various dermatological issues.
  • Perform procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and laser treatments as necessary.
  • Provide education to patients regarding skin care, preventive measures, and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in data collection for clinical assessments and research purposes.
  • Stay updated on advancements in dermatology practices and technologies.

Requirements:

Education and Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Dermatology.
  • Valid medical license to practice dermatology in the state of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dermatology.
  • Experience in acute care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with pediatric dermatology is a plus.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner).
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education.
  • Ability to manage pain effectively during procedures and treatments.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in both hospital and home care settings.
Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $185,973.10-$470,462.57 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a competitive benefits package including dental care, extended health care, RRSP match, and vision care.
