Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our EssilorLuxottica Group team as a Production Manager for Edging and Mounting. This key role is responsible for overseeing workflow, analyzing returns, and reworking to maintain lens manufacturing efficiency and quality.

About the Role

This position operates from 8:30 am to 05:00 pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), with flexibility as per business requirements. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication skills, autonomy, and initiative.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversight of workflow, analysis of returns, and rework to maintain lens manufacturing efficiency and quality
  • Collaboration across departments to adhere to production schedules and maintain daily departmental organization
  • Development and proposal of technical or organizational solutions to production challenges
  • Technical advisor and primary contact for the local customer experience team
  • Preparation and analysis of KPI production reports and management of operational costs and budgets
  • Supervision of staff to foster a productive atmosphere while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Monitoring of inventory levels and oversight of equipment maintenance for efficient production
  • Implementation and management of Quality Management System (QMS) processes
  • Compliance with health, safety regulations, and ISO standards
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Diploma of College Studies in a relevant discipline (visual orthosis, an asset)
  • 9+ years of experience in edging and mounting with a minimum of 5 years in management
  • Ability to manage 25+ staff, including frontline leaders
  • In-depth knowledge of optics, including terminology, edging & mounting, types of lenses, products, and reading prescriptions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written) is an asset
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $115,000 - $135,000 based on industry standards and comparable positions. Additionally, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
