Job Title: Vocational Rehabilitation Service Specialist

At Lifemark, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Vocational Rehabilitation Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will play a vital role in supporting veterans and their families in achieving their employment goals.

Job Summary:

The Vocational Rehabilitation Service Specialist will provide superior participant-centered services that lead to successful outcomes in a timely and efficient manner. This includes establishing and meeting caseload and performance metrics, ensuring service standards and outcomes meet and exceed requirements, and coordinating all assessments, interpreting reports, and providing recommendations for services to support Participants to reach their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be part of a team of Rehabilitation Service Specialists in the delivery and coordination of Rehabilitation Services for program participants
  • Assist the team to provide superior participant-centered services that lead to successful outcomes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Establish and meet caseload and performance metrics
  • Ensure service standards and outcomes meet and exceed requirements
  • Coordinate all assessments, interpret reports, and provide recommendations for services to support Participants to reach their rehabilitation goals
Requirements:
  • Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional (CVRP), or a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional - Fellow (CVRP -F), or Career Counsellors registered with the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in the direct provision of medical, psycho-social and/or vocational rehabilitation services (or a combination thereof) to Participants
  • Experience conducting medical, psycho-social and/or vocational rehabilitation assessments
  • Experience working with persons living with mental or physical health problems creating barriers to civilian life
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting medical, psycho-social and/or vocational assessments and making recommendations based upon critical analysis of information leading to the development of a comprehensive plan and program of care, and;
  • Experience working with a variety of health professionals and disciplines in an interdisciplinary team environment
Preferred Criteria:
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Experience working with employers, community resources, and training institutions
  • Preference given to qualified former CAF members
