Vocational Rehabilitation Service Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Service Specialist to join our team at Lifemark. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will play a vital role in supporting veterans and their families to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate rehabilitation services to program participants, ensuring superior participant-centered services that lead to successful outcomes.
  • Establish and meet caseload and performance metrics, ensuring service standards and outcomes meet and exceed requirements.
  • Coordinate all assessments, interpret reports, and provide recommendations for services to support participants to reach their rehabilitation goals.
  • Coordinate and conduct vocational rehabilitation and vocational assistance assessments and interventions.

Requirements

  • Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional (CVRP) or a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Services Professional - Fellow (CVRP-F), or Career Counsellors registered with the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in the direct provision of medical, psycho-social and/or vocational rehabilitation services (or a combination thereof) to participants.
  • Experience conducting medical, psycho-social and/or vocational rehabilitation assessments.
  • Experience working with persons living with mental or physical health problems creating barriers to civilian life.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting medical, psycho-social and/or vocational assessments and making recommendations based upon critical analysis of information leading to the development of a comprehensive plan and program of care.
  • Experience working with a variety of health professionals and disciplines in an interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Criteria

  • Bilingual (French/English).
  • Experience working with employers, community resources, and training institutions.
  • Preference given to qualified former CAF members.
