Job Title: Student Systems Integration and Special Projects Manager

Job Summary:

The University of Waterloo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Systems Integration and Special Projects Manager to join our team. This is a critical leadership role that requires a strong understanding of student systems, project management, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic oversight and management of the UWaterloo Portal
  • Manage strategic projects across the APS portfolio, including project initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases
  • Lead a comprehensive community management strategy, including student engagement opportunities and feedback mechanisms
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current trends and best practices for communicating with and engaging student audiences

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or diploma in program/project management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate is an asset
  • 5+ years of experience in a technology project or project management role, preferably in higher education
  • Experience in engaging internal and external stakeholders to work collaboratively and build consensus in a complex environment
  • Advanced project management skills, strong communication and organizational skills, and effective time management skills
