Job Details

The Copywriter will be responsible for researching, developing, and writing high-quality copy for various creative concepts, from draft stage to final copy. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Copywriter will also be responsible for ensuring that all work meets the client's marketing strategies and objectives, while meeting deadlines and staying within budget.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Computer proficiency, including solid knowledge of word processing software
  • Working knowledge of product challenges and market trends

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the creative brief and its role in creative development and client management
  • Develop a strong understanding of audience needs and target copy to meet those needs
  • Develop medical knowledge in therapeutic areas of primary accounts
  • Contribute innovative ideas that challenge the status quo and meet client marketing strategies
  • Defend strengths of existing concepts while remaining open to input and further exploration
  • Proactively anticipate and solve creative problems
  • Maintain quality control by adhering to agency process, American Medical Association (AMA) style, and client preferred referencing and annotation styles
  • Oversee creation of concept roughs and layouts for clients and present them to senior creative team members
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on client expectations and meet objectives consistently
  • Accurately and timely input billable hours via scheduler/daily pulse
  • Understand how budgets and schedules are developed
  • Communicate with team members regarding deadlines, revisions, quality control, and new work
  • Course correct in a way that is most beneficial to the client
  • Create moments of 'wow' that clients remember
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and share knowledge with internal teams
  • Explore and incorporate continuous learning on the Cs and Ps of the business
