The Pharmacy Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the CBC McKesson Specialty Prescription Services (B.C.) Corporation, collaborating with Pharmacists to ensure accurate dispensing of medications to patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exemplary customer service, interacting with clients via phone and email.
- Process prescriptions through pharmacy software, ensuring all necessary documentation is adequate and appropriate.
- Create patient files in pharmacy software.
- Manage site calendars, appointment changes, dispensing, and shipping schedules.
- Accurately dispense medications to ensure timely arrival at the correct destination.
- Conduct follow-up calls for outstanding accounts, referring medical questions to pharmacists.
- Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
- Effectively communicate with external and internal contacts.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals and insurance coordinators.
- Enter data accurately into various systems.
- Liaise between insurance plans and physicians to secure necessary paperwork and information.
- Resolve third-party billing issues for high-dollar value products.
- Complete paperwork thoroughly and accurately regarding material processing.
- Knowledge of third-party insurance plans and pharmacy software.
- Proficiency in Windows environment and MS Office.
- Secondary School Diploma.
We offer a competitive compensation package, determined by performance, experience, skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The base pay range for this position is $37,100 - $61,900.
