Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

Fulton Child Care Association is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual to oversee the daily operations of our child care centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements:
  • Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3) certification.
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a child care setting.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced child care centre environment with a focus on providing high-quality care and education to children. The position requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Manual dexterity is also required.
