Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at VIP DUTTS SPICE CIRCLE EAST INDIAN RESTAURANT INC.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and preparing budget and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including cooks, food and beverage servers, and kitchen and food service helpers.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that they are aware of the importance of maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Hire food service staff and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including food order summaries for the chef and tray assembly supervision.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk, with a combination of sitting and standing.
