Job Description for Food Service Supervisor at Rivers Restaurant

Rivers Restaurant is seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and enjoy a memorable dining experience.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record of supervising teams of up to 10 people.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our food and beverage servers, kitchen staff, and food service helpers. You will work closely with our chefs to ensure that meals are prepared to the highest standards, and that our quality control measures are met.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  2. Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  3. Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
  4. Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  5. Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  6. Prepare food order summaries for the chef.
Requirements
  • High school graduation certificate.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams of up to 10 people.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
