Job Title: Educator - Surgical Processes

At Health Sciences Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educator - Surgical Processes to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of educational programs for nursing staff and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff and support staff, including curriculum design, instructional materials, and evaluation.
  • Teach and facilitate learning activities, including workshops, seminars, and online courses.
  • Collaborate with Program Teams to ensure educational programs align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff and support staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay current with best practices in education and healthcare, and apply this knowledge to improve educational programs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of four years recent related nursing experience with demonstrated competency in a defined area of clinical nursing practice.
  • Previous experience in teaching, education, and program development and evaluation is preferred.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Registration with the College of Nurses of Manitoba (C.R.N.M.) is required.
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM), is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competency with word processing and presentation programs.
