We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia. The successful candidate will be appointed as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor and will have the opportunity to contribute to teaching, research, and clinical services aligned with the focus of the Professorship.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent program of research focused on advancing Indigenous Cultural Safety in Nursing. They will work with colleagues across Providence Health Care and beyond to ensure that advances developed through their research will be applied to nursing and interprofessional practices throughout Providence Health Care sites and provincial and national health systems.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain an independent program of research focused on advancing Indigenous Cultural Safety in Nursing
- Contribute to teaching, mentorship, and clinical services aligned with the focus of the Professorship
- Work with colleagues across Providence Health Care and beyond to ensure that advances developed through research will be applied to nursing and interprofessional practices
The successful candidate will have practice experience in nursing, must have earned or nearly completed a PhD in nursing or a related discipline, and be registered or eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives. Successful applicants must have demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching.
