Telesat is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Systems Engineer to join our Lightspeed System Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing software systems for our next-generation satellite communication network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with system architects, antenna engineers, and other teams to design and develop software systems for Lightspeed.
  • Develop and maintain performance budgets for the system.
  • Provide technical support to vendors of software systems.
  • Mentor junior engineers in industry-best software practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical computer engineering or other relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in communication systems software.
  • Knowledge of digital communication systems and modulation standards such as DVB-S2X and DVB-RCS2.
  • Good understanding of MATLAB or other tools for modeling and analyzing communication systems.
