Estimated Salary Range

$45,000 - $60,000 per year based on the role, skill, effort, responsibility, and working conditions.

Job Responsibilities

As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  1. Greeting patients, explaining the specimen collection process, and ensuring they follow necessary test protocols.
  2. Performing phlebotomies, connecting/disconnecting holter monitors, and preparing specimens for transportation.
  3. Maintaining client relationships and responding to inquiries.
  4. Completing data entry and preparing specimens for testing.
Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • ECG training or experience (an asset).
  • Proficient data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
