Senior Character Artist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Character Artist to join our team at Cloud Chamber, a studio that creates unique and engaging game experiences. As a Senior Character Artist, you will play a key role in bringing our characters to life, working closely with the Art Director and other team members to ensure that our characters meet the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Art Director and other team members to develop and implement character art concepts and designs.
- Lead the creation of high-quality character models, textures, and animations, adhering to next-gen technical specs.
- Work closely with the Technical Artists and Animators to ensure seamless integration of character art with other game assets.
- Assist in the planning and execution of content creation, including character concept development and asset production.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure that all character work meets the high-quality expectations set by the studio.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in game development, with a focus on character art and modeling.
- Proficiency in Maya, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop, and Substance Painter.
- Strong artistic vision and ability to translate concepts into game-ready assets.
- Solid knowledge of high-poly modeling and digital sculpting.
- Excellent understanding of human anatomy and a strong personal art style.
- Superior eye for value, color, and detail in creating textures, combined with a strong understanding of PBR.
- Experience using Unreal or a comparable engine.
- Great work ethic and ability to work autonomously.
- Experience working within cross-discipline teams on collaborative assignments.
- Understanding of next-generation content creation.
- Experience with structuring and maintaining pipelines.
- Background in traditional arts and media.
- Passion for games and game development.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
