Job Title: Commercial Legal Counsel

The Woodfibre LNG Project is a significant undertaking that requires a skilled and experienced Commercial Legal Counsel to support its development and operation. As a key member of the Woodfibre LNG team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the project's compliance with regulatory requirements and managing commercial risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice on commercial and regulatory matters related to the Woodfibre LNG Project;
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate commercial and regulatory risks;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure effective communication and coordination;
  • Prepare and review agreements, contracts, and other legal documents related to the project;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, and provide guidance on their impact on the project.
Requirements:
  • At least 7+ years of experience in commercial and natural resource-related law in British Columbia or Alberta;
  • Canadian law degree and current membership (or willingness to obtain membership) in the Law Society of British Columbia or Alberta;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
