Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct trauma-informed health care services to clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to address the physical, emotional, and social needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, clients, and families to coordinate care and promote recovery.
  • Develop and implement education programs to promote health and wellness, and provide support to clients and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care and services.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Two years' recent experience providing trauma-informed care to clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Successful completion of Occupational First Aid II (OFA II) or equivalent.
