Maintenance Supervisor

Thoar Mining Management Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Mosaic Colonsay mine site near Saskatoon, SK.
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious leader to oversee the maintenance and operations of our mine site. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities, as well as supervising a team of millwrights and welders.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure efficient and effective operation of the mine site.
- Supervise and oversee the work of millwrights and welders to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and track work packages to execute schedule-driven projects.
- Facilitate communication between departments to ensure proper and efficient contract operation, allocation of resources, safety, and environmental standards.
- Work with operations to troubleshoot and address operational problems and participate effectively in preventative maintenance planning and execution.
- Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission as a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic, Journeyperson Welder/CWB certified or Mechanical Engineering Degree with specific site experience on a mine site surface or underground is preferred.
- Mechanical Technologist Diploma will also be considered.
- CWB certification an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance and production in the industrial/mining industry.
- Experience in Mills with Pumps / Belt Systems / Crushing and Milling Circuits and Infrastructure.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of Borers / Drum cutters / Rehab Equipment / Conveyor Systems and Auxiliary Equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of commonly used software packages including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, time and attendance systems, and maintenance monitoring and management systems (SAP).
