Job Title: Commercial Claims Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Claims Specialist to join our team at Gallagher. As a key member of our Claims Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional claims service and advocacy to our clients, maintaining and exceeding the service standards of our Claims division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Intake and reporting of new claims for commercial clients
  • Providing claims counselling to insureds in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Advocating on claims, as needed, on behalf of clients with insurers
  • Data input using the EPIC Broker Management System
  • Maintaining, coordinating, and updating client documents
  • Leading claim analysis meetings with commercial clients and/or Client Solutions Team
  • Collaborating with Loss Control Adjusters to establish or modify existing programs
  • Liaising between insured and insurance carrier during settlement negotiations
  • Documenting and acting on incoming communication in a timely fashion

Requirements

  • Claims Adjusting experience or Commercial Broker including Claims Advocacy
  • RIBO, CAIB, CIP designations an asset or courses completed towards designations
  • Prior Commercial Insurance and/or Claims experience required
  • Comprehensive and effective verbal/written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with EPIC and/or an electronic filing system an asset
