Product Development Director Opportunity

Sun Life Retail Advice & Solutions (RA&S) is a leading financial institution in Canada, offering holistic advice and innovative solutions to Canadians. We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Director to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and evolve the strategy for individual products on the new business insurance shelf, focusing on driving business growth and improving Sun Life's market position.
  • Drive product development initiatives from concept to implementation, including client/advisor research, concept development and validation, business casing, and value realization.
  • Lead a team of innovation/product managers and build a diverse, empowered team through proactive career development and continuous feedback/coaching.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in the financial services industry, preferably in product management and/or strategy.
  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities, with the ability to effectively manage relationships across the organization to deliver against objectives.
  • Proven balance of analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to focus on critical business issues in a data-driven and fact-based manner.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including data interpretation, model creation, and information visualization.
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills, with a track record of working directly with senior leadership levels.
