Assistant Store Manager

Corky's Liquor Store is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our store, including staff management, merchandise procurement, and budget planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a team of 3-4 staff members, including recruiting, hiring, and supervising.
- Locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products and competitive pricing.
- Plan and manage budgets, monitoring revenues and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Determine staffing requirements and schedule staff accordingly.
- Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective store management.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail or liquor store environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle heavy loads.
- Knowledge of accessible and inclusive recruitment policies and practices.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including newcomers, refugees, and Indigenous peoples.
