Job Summary

Vancouver Community College is seeking a highly qualified Chemistry Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in an assigned field of study.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver curriculum, prepare teaching materials, and assess student progress.
  • Teach students using a diverse range of instruction methods and tools, including lectures, presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
  • Provide individualized or group tutorial or remedial instruction to students who require it.
  • Maintain effective stewardship of classroom facilities, equipment, and materials.
  • Participate in departmental and college meetings, and consult with other College departments as needed.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Science, Applied Science, or Education, with a Bachelor's degree in Science or Applied Science.
  • One year of relevant science or related teaching experience, preferably with adults.
  • Completion of the Provincial Instructor's Diploma or equivalent, in a timely fashion after employment commences.
  • Evidence of commitment to team and personal professional growth.
