Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House Cobourg. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high-quality food and service standards.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure timely ordering and inventory management.
- Prepare and submit reports on food sales, stock levels, and wastage to inform menu planning and inventory decisions.
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries and ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- 5-10 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and train staff.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve operational issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and high standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing menu items, inventory levels, and customer demands.
Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment with a high volume of customers. You will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift heavy objects. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a client-focused attitude is essential for success in this role.
