Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House Cobourg. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high-quality food and service standards.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure timely ordering and inventory management.
- Manage food and service quality control, addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
- Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and wastage, as well as maintain accurate records of stock and repairs.
- Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries and ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to maintain high standards of presentation and service.
- 5-10 years of experience in food service management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as quality control standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and walking as needed.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the kitchen and restaurant.
