Job Summary

Milestones Whistler is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Inventory Management

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Reporting and Scheduling

Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, and establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role, but 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar position is preferred.

Work Environment

Relocation costs will be covered by the employer, and the work environment is fast-paced with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet the demands of a busy restaurant environment.

Personal Suitability

The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have a client-focused approach to their work.
