We are seeking a highly motivated BioLytical Innovation Specialist to join our R&D team. This role plays a key part in designing and developing new bioLytical rapid point of care tests.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Execution
- Develop project or task objectives and proposals;
- Plan for design verification and validation testing;
- Plan, design and execute stability studies;
- Troubleshoot test results and design challenges;
- Assess, interpret and evaluate research outcomes;
- Generate and compile data for meta-analysis white papers and publishing of peer-reviewed papers;
- Translate design outputs into procedures, testing methods and quality control release criteria;
- Support and lead design transfer, prepare requirements into documented design verification and validation test plans;
- Collaborate actively within and outside the department to complete projects and advance creative solutions;
- Present data within the company, at conferences, or exhibit work in other appropriate events;
- Education and Experience
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in a life sciences discipline, preferably in biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, medical technology, biology, chemistry, or related science.
- Industrial experience and protein biochemistry experience an asset.
- Experience in a BSL2 laboratory an asset.
- Must be able to work independently following a brief orientation and training period.
- Must have strong analytical and technical writing skills.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Access, Excel).
