Job Title: Faculty, New Media Design and Web Development

BCIT's School of Business + Media: Digital Arts, Media and Design department is seeking highly talented, motivated and qualified professionals to become temporary, part-time Instructors for the New Media Design and Web Development diploma.

Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented professionals with broad, practical knowledge within the Web and Mobile industry. The successful applicants will be committed to quality and innovation in meeting our students' needs and value the importance of teamwork in the workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of courses across areas related to our Web and Mobile programs
  • Deliver quality curriculum and interact with students
  • Communicate clearly and effectively
  • Develop and deliver interactive and experiential sessions
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five years of experience in New Media Design and Web Development
  • Demonstrated industry success and current experience and skills in instructional areas
  • Experience in post-secondary teaching and student evaluation skills
  • Ability to prepare, deliver and administer relevant and applied course material
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills
  • Flexible, creative and enthusiastic presentation approach
