The Opportunity

This position is field-based in the Markham - Richmond Hill - Newmarket – Uxbridge Area, focusing on the Diabetes Care Division. Our team aims to help individuals with diabetes manage their health using cutting-edge products that provide accurate data for informed decision-making.

In this role, you will perform duties and activities within established company policies and procedures, working towards quality performance and maximizing sales growth in assigned geographical territories. You will contact and call on high-prescribing doctors, educators, and retail pharmacists within the diabetes category, maintaining a high level of disease state, competitive, and Abbott Diabetes Care product knowledge to meet customer needs and expectations.

What You'll Do

You will:

  • Develop a strategic territory plan to maximize sales by analyzing market dynamics and utilizing available information to achieve short-term and long-term goals.
  • Grow sales and share of sensors and BGM test strips by effectively educating and convincing HCPs to recommend Abbott products to patients.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing team members to drive growth and expand share.
  • Pursue ongoing self-development to educate yourself on the disease state, new products (Abbott Diabetes Care and competition), new tools, and the changing business environment to enhance sales and territory management.
  • Communicate sales activity, follow-up, and reports in a clear, concise, and consistent manner, meeting key administrative and project deadlines.
  • Maintain all assigned company equipment, records, and supplies in accordance with company policy for efficient operations.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree combined with medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Superior selling and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to develop and present innovative solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
