About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: You will have completed an Other Trades Certificate or Diploma program and have a strong understanding of heavy equipment maintenance technology.
  • Experience: You will have at least 2 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on truck and bus maintenance.
  • Apprenticeship Training: You will have completed pre-apprenticeship, level one, two, and three apprenticeship training programs.
  • Transportation and Travel: You will hold a valid driver's license and have a strong understanding of transportation and travel information.
  • Green Job: This role involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
  • Health Benefits: You will be eligible for a comprehensive health benefits package, including dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, paramedical services coverage, and vision care benefits.
  • Work Terms: This is a temporary work term with 37.5 hours per week.
