KKetchum Consulting is seeking a skilled Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team in supporting the development of young children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for child development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.


About the Role

The Early Childhood Educator Assistant will be responsible for assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This will involve developing and implementing child-care programs, maintaining daycare equipment, and encouraging children to express creativity through various activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
  • Perform light cleaning duties and other tasks as required

Requirements

  • HIGH FIVE training (principles of healthy child development)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physically demanding and able to lift children (if necessary)
