About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at 2269374 Alberta Inc. as a Pastry Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes, and other sweet goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
  • Customer Service: Prepare special orders and oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
  • Food Specialties: Develop and maintain expertise in desserts and pastries.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
