The Interior Health Authority is seeking a motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Relief part-time Nursing Unit Clerk in Kamloops, B.C. This position involves performing various clerical duties related to patient care, such as prioritizing and processing physicians' orders, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.

This opportunity provides the chance to work with a dedicated team in a dynamic healthcare environment while developing your skills and expertise. To succeed in this role, you will require strong communication and organizational abilities, as well as proficiency in keyboarding and data entry.

As a Relief part-time Nursing Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of the unit. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prioritizing and processing physicians' orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Performing various administrative tasks, including data entry and filing

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Grade 12 education, a current typing test of 40 wpm or greater, and a Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate. Previous experience in a related field is also desirable.
